Welcome To My Blog: The Art Of Selling Your Arts And Crafts.....

These words are my adventures as an artist. I have been one for over twenty years, in fact, I am a third generation artist, daughter of Helen and Leonard Breger, well known San Francisco Bay Area artists.

My work has been in The Smithsonian's Renwick Museum as well as many other fine galleries and stores worldwide.

I write this blog with bunny slippers on, vanilla latte in hand, a pumpkin candle, fireplace on, and a cat on my foot.

Welcome!

A Very Nice Gift Shop....

So on Thursday I had a "regular" type job interview. It was not artist related work but did involve some creativity....Thought I did well at the interview but found out yesterday, Friday, that I did not get the job but am on a potential list for after the first of the year.

As I often say, "It's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick"...

And yesterday I took my work and my displays to a lovely new store in our cute downtown shopping and tourist street. They gave me a lovely space in the shop, shelves made to look all vintage. I thought my work looked great all set up. It's not consignment either!

I had added to my usual collections 5 necklaces that I just made with watch movements and lockets and watch faces and little birds. They looked great!!! I really hope they sell because it was so much fun making something new for a change.

I was also able to display over 100 pairs of earrings. I hope they sell as I have so many pairs of earrings waiting for good homes.

I've also been getting Etsy orders slow and steady, both stores....

And today...........today I am sick with a terrible head cold, all stuffed up, sneezy, ear ache, scratchy throat. And it's just as well as it is snowing very heavily here in Central Oregon (USA) and I'm on the couch with a big wooly blanket and the fireplace is going. My cat is in front of the fire and I am about to have a hot lemon and honey tea.

I'll feel better soon...

Love,
Nanette

  1. Missing home there in Bend, would love to see snow falling but I and my husband are in Texas this year. 76 degrees, I'm not complaining as it's get to be outside.

Would love to know the name of that little shop in Bend maybe to see if they would take my work. jericreates.etsy.com
